The Bears won a thrilling one last night in extra innings over Whitehall 7-6. The bears started the game off strong. They rode on the back of JR Lukes for a solid 7 innings. Lukes only surrendered 5 hits and 1 run while collecting 7 strikeouts. The bears took the early lead on a wild pitch in the 1st inning. Then in the third the bears added three more on RBI hits by Jeremy Nicolai and Josh Halling. They then scored again in the 4th on another wild pitch. The Bears cruised into the 9th inning winning 5-2 and needing just 2 outs. Whitehall had other thoughts with a mixture of hits and walks The Wolves took the lead in the top of the 9th 6-5. In the bottom of the 9th Jonathan Novas reached base and Ty Fadness knocked him in with an RBI Double to tie the game. In the 10th inning Alex Mahaz kept the game tied throwing a scoreless frame which lead to a Reed Pecha scoring the game winning run with a walkoff Sac Fly by Ty Fadness. Bears were lead in hitting by Brian Menard who was 3-6 with a double, Josh Halling 2-4 1 RBI and Ty Fadness 1-4 2 RBI and a double.
Bears left their bats and gloves at home giving up 10 runs in the 2nd and 3rd innings while committing 7 errors to end up losing 11-1 to the Cavs. On the positive bears only allowed one run in the final 6 innings Alex Mahaz came in relief in the third and threw an impressive 4+ innings only allowing one run and Jonathan Novas pitched the final 2 frames giving up 0 runs. Bears come back vs tilden on Sunday @ Casper Park at 12:30 PM.

The Eau Claire Bears came away with another W last night taking down Bloomer 10-3 in 9 Innings.
Jake Sandstrom led the way for the Bears showing timely hitting Wednesday, driving in four runs on three hits to lead the Bears past bloomer. The Bears totalled 14 hits on the evening with multi hit days coming from Alex Jinkins 2-3 1RBI, Todd Lasher 2-3 1RBI 2BB, Jeremy Nicolai 2-5, and Brian Menard 2-3 2RBI.
Chevy Tollefson started on the bump and went 7 innings to get the win. The only bloomer runs of the game came in the 2nd inning on 4 hits and 2 errors. Tollefson finished the game with 7IP 5K 1BB 8 Hits and 1 Earned Run. Newcomer Alex Mahaz got his first action of the year in relief throwing 1 inning and tallying 3 K's. Blake Johnson came in the 9th to close the door.
On Wednesday night the Bears racked up 23 hits and scored 25 runs to take down the A's 25-4. Jimmy Thill led the way for the Bears with a team leading 4 hits and 4 RBIs including 2 doubles. The Bears also tallied their first CRBL homerun of the season coming from Brian Menard. Brian also had 2RBIs and 5 runs scored on the night. Blake Johnson racked up 4 RBIs on two hits keeping his bat hot. Reed Pecha was another one of our top hitters of the night. Reed had 3 hits 3RBIs, 1SB, and 1 Double. Sam Janni, Jeremy Nicolai, and Ty Fadness all finished with 3 hits as well. Jake Sandstrom finished with 2RBIs and a double in his first game back this season. Chevy Tollefson threw a solid 6 innings and recorded the win on the night. All in all the bats were on fire in Augusta Wednesday night.
Last night the Bears enjoyed a beautiful night for baseball and secured another win. The Bears took down the Menomonie Eagles 12-0 in a great all-around effort. The Bears bats were alive all night with almost everyone in the lineup contributing. Todd Lasher, Jeremy Nicolai, and Jim Thill all had 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Jonathan Novas, and Alex Jinkins both had 2 hits and 1 RBI. Sam Janni and Reed Pecha both tacked on a 2-hit day. Josh Halling and JD Prescher both added 1 hit and 1 RBI to the Bears’s big offensive day. But the star of the night was definitely Bears starting pitcher JR Lukes who shut down a very solid Eagles lineup for 8 innings of shutout ball. Lukes had hitters fooled the entire day and took the game into his hands!
Yesterday's game was a little bit of an unorthodox one. The final score of the game vs. the Ellsworth Hubbers was 17-16 with the Bears coming out on top. Zack Thiesse got his first start on the mound for the Bears. He pitched a solid 5 innings and came out of the game with the lead, but ended up with a No decision. Chevy Tollefson came in late in the game in relief and ended up picking up the win. Jonathan Novas shut the door in the 9th to pick up a save. Offensively the Bears were on fire today with a ton of production all around. The Bears were led by Blake Johnson who was 4-5 with 1 triple and 1 RBI. Jordan Dickerson was 3-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Chevy Tollefson had 2 hits 3 RBIs and 2 stolen bases. Jim Thill knocked out the Bears’s first home run of the year going 2-4 with a big fly and 3 RBIs. Jonathan Novas had 3 hits and 2 RBIs. Todd Lasher tallied 2 hits and 2 RBIs. And Alex Jinkins finished the day with 3 hits and 1 RBI.
The Bears tallied on another win today. The Frogs gave the Bears a very competitive game as pitcher, Logan Berg, kept us on our toes for most of the game. But the day belonged to Blake Johnson who went the distance throwing a 9 inning complete game. Johnson allowed just 1 run while tallying up 8 strikeouts on the day. Offensively Sam Janni led the way with another 3 hit day. Ty Fadness and Brian Menard both had 2 hits each and 1 RBI. Newcomer Jd Prescher tallied his first career CRBL hit and RBI today! The Bears traveled to Spring Valley today on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The Bears came home with a dominate win over Spring Valley winning 12-1. The Bears rode the back of Jordan Dickerson who threw 6 great innings allowing 1 run 0 earned runs and mastered the Hawks’ hitters all day. Chevy Tollefson and Jonathan Novas led the way offensively with 3 hits each. Jordan Dickerson and Blake Johnson each added two hits as well on the road to victory over the Hawks.

The Bears bats were hot today as they rallied together 17 hits on the day. They went on to beat the Wolves 10-7. The Bears were anchored by an impressive start on the mound by Matt Flesher. Flesher earned the win, pitched 6 innings giving up 3 runs, 1 earned run and tallied 5 strikeouts. Chevy Tollefson finished the final 3 frames for the Bears to earn the save.
Offensively the Bears were in midseason form Jim Thill, Sam Janni, Ty Fadness, Brian Menard, Todd Lasher, and Blake Johnson all had multi hit days today. Janni and Thill each collected 3 hits. The Bears brought out the guns collecting 23 hits on the day in a blowout. Jake Olson started on the mound for the Bears and he was great. He finished the game with 6 IP 5 hits and 1 run allowed 0 earned runs. Matt Flesher closed the game collecting 3Ks in the final inning. At the plate on the evening Alex Jinkins lead the team going 4-5 with 5 RBIs, Austin Neu and Josh Halling each had 3 hits and Halling collected 4 RBIS
The Bears lost a heartbreaker to the wolves. Alex Byom for Whitehall was excellent on the mound keeping the bears on their toes and not allowing them to score in key situations. Blake johnson started on the mound and threw well. He allowed 2 runs 1 earned through 4 1/3 innings before being relieved by Chevy Tollefson. Tollefson came in and shut the door taking the bears into the 8th down 1 when Jake Olsen came in to shutdown the wolves in the bottom of 8. The bears had runners in scoring position with 2 outs when Jeremy Nicolai hit a hard line drive that the left fielder made an outstanding play on to win the game. Austin Neu was about the only guy who had figured out Byom all night as he was 3-4 on the evening.
The Eau Claire Bears had a great day on both sides of the ball collecting 22 hits on the day and shutting down the Augusta athletics for a combined shutout. Chevy Tollefson started on the mound going 4 innings allowing just 3 hits and 1 walk earning the win. Matt Lunde came in and finished the final 3 frames allowing 1 hit and collecting 5ks. The Bears had many stars offensively Jeremy Nicolai was 3-6 with 3 RBI, Ty Fadness was 2-4 2RBI 2BB, Sam Janni 2-6 4RBI 1 HR, Josh Halling 3-6 2 RBI and a homerun short of the cycle. Reed Pecha and Jordan Dickerson also had 3 hits each. Alex Jinkins had 2 RBIs on the day.
The Bears fell to Osseo 5-4 Sunday on the final play of the game. The score was tied at four with Osseo batting in the bottom of the tenth when an error scored the final run. The Bears go on the board first when Alex Jinkings drove in one run on a single in the first. Then in the second the bears would score 3 more on a big 3 run homerun by Josh halling going up 4-0. Dan Olson started for the bears he gave up 2 runs on 3 hits of 3 2/3rds innings of work. Chevy Tollefson would then com in to through 5 2/3 out of the pen giving up 1 earned run on 5 hits and 3 strikeouts and was the tough luck loser on the mound. Game 1-The Bears took a big win in game 1. The bears would score their first run on a stolen base. Then in the fourth inning the bears would tack on 3 more runs with RBI's from Jeremy Nicolai and Ty Fadness. Blake Johnson was dominant in the win giving up 1 run and 7 hits over 7 innings. Austin Neu and Ty fadness both had 2 hit days in the victory.
Game 2- In game 2 the Bears would take an early lead early by an RBI single by Jim THill followed by RBI triple by Josh Halling in the first inning and then a Sac Fly by Sam Janni in the second inning. Then the bears would score again in the 6th on a RBI by Brian Menard. Jordan Dickerson would get the start in the game and shoved it in the Tigers face going 5 strong giving up 2 hits and striking out 5. Dan Olsen would throw the final 2 frames to earn the save
The First Annual Billy Noss game yesterday was a crowd pleaser. It was great to see so many people out to support Billy Noss and the Special Olympics.
For the Bears they started off the game well Jim Thill drove in Jake Sandstrom to crack the game open in the top of the first with a double. Chevy Tollefson started for the Bears and pitched well for the first 4 frames holding the game even when he came out. The Bears and Cavs would go back and forth going into the 5th inning tied at 3 a piece. The bears would open up the game in the top of the 5th with 4 runs on 4 hits. The Cavs had an answer, though, as they came back and scored 3 to bring it within 1 run. Then in the bottom of the 7th the Cavs would rally off 6 runs to take a 5 run lead. When it looked like the bears were just about done they made a great last inning rally to bring it within one run but falling just short of victory in the first annual Billy Noss game. The Bears kicked off memorial day weekend with an exciting one. The night would start out with a bang as Brady Burzinski would take just the second pitch of the game deep to right field for a solo bomb. Jake Olson took the start on the mound for the Bears and pitched well despite the Knights taking a 6-3 lead going into the 7th inning. Then in the 7th inning Jeremy Nicolai would take a pitch deep to left field hitting a game changing 3 run home run. Matt Flesher took the ball in the bottom of the 7th and looked lights out. The Bears would continue to rally off another 5 runs leading 11-6 going into the bottom of the 9th. The knights were not done as they would come back to tie it up. Blake Johnson took the hill in efforts to stop the bleeding and he got out of the jam to bring it to extra innings. In the 10th Ben Kincaid got a clutch hit and would end up coming around to score the go ahead run in that inning. In the final half, Johnson shut the door to secure the win. BEARS WIN 11-10

The Bears picked up a big league win in Beef River, beating the frogs 14-2. Chevy Tollefson picked up the win on the mound for the Bears, throwing 6 innings of 1 run baseball. Brian Menard led the Bears with 4 hits and 4 RBIs on the night. Reed Pecha collected 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Ty Fadness also recorded 2 RBIs and was walked 4 times.
